This month Otway Health said farewell to CEO Debra Cerasa and interim Director of Clinical Services, Kathleen McLaughlan as we wish them all the best in the next stages of their careers. Incoming Director of Clinical Services, Pam Charnock, commenced at Otway Health in April.
In message to staff and the community earlier in the month concerning the resgination of the current CEO, Otway Health Board Chair, Denise McLachlan stated that
“After extensive consideration, the Board has decided to accept the resignation of our CEO, Debra Cerasa. Deb has decided it is time to pursue new challenges in her career.
The Board commends Deb for her leadership and achievements since her appointment in 2015. In particular her ability to recognise and act on the deficit, take actions to improve the poor culture within Otway Health, and strengthen clinical practice. We appreciate the effective relationship Deb has formed with our key stakeholders, including the Department of Health and Human Services; and the systems she has put in place that give the Board more transparent and quality reporting of information, on which we make strategic decisions for the sustainability of Otway Health.
Deb’s last day will be on Friday 12th May. We take this opportunity to thank Deb, and to wish her all the very best for the next phase of her career.”
