On 17 August, 2017 Second Sails held its 48th Annual General Meeting at Marrar Woorn Neighbourhood House. Despite the absolutely terrible weather, the AGM was extremely well attended with a very happy crew of volunteers and the Otway Health Management Team.

Interim CEO Kate Gillan accepted a donation from Second Sails to Otway Health for the incredible amount of $100,000, which was raised in just 7 months!  Well done and a huge congratulations to the Apollo Bay Community for donating, shopping and supporting Otway Health’s services. A special thanks to all Second Sails Volunteers for their tireless efforts in organising the selling of these wonderful items. The AGM closed with a simply delicious afternoon tea prepared by the Otway Health kitchen staff.

This year’s Second Sails donation has been brought into line with the financial year. Come July 2018, the amount donated will reflect a full 12 month financial year period.

The Second Sails Auxiliary Office Bearers were elected during the AGM as follows:

  • Treasurer – Chris Marriner
  • Secretary – Lynne Hall
  • Member – Heather MacIntyre
  • Member – Di Bryant
