About Aids and Equipment Hire

Otway Health has a range of medical aids and specialised equipment available for hire, which can help you avoid the expensive costs associated with purchasing aids and equipment outright, particularly if they are only for short term use.

How it works

Any person may hire aids and equipment from Otway Health as required. Simply make a booking, pay a deposit and then collect the equipment from Otway Health. When you are finished using the equipment, please return it to Otway Health cleaned.


It is advisable to obtain advice from your doctor, physiotherapist or occupational therapist prior to hiring and using specific items of equipment.

  • Over toilet seat
  • Raised toilet seat
  • Bed pan
  • Male urinal
  • Commode
  • Tens unit
  • Nebuliser
  • Ventolin spacer
  • Cervical traction kit
  • Manual or electric breast pump
  • Foot roller
  • Exercise bike

*Available for hire and purchase.
+Discount applies for hire beyond four weeks.
